Why See an Endodontist?
Having been referred to our office you may ask the questions: Why do I need to see an an endodontist? I have had other root canals done where a general dentist completed the treatment. Why doesn’t my general dentist do this one?
Just as your physician sends you to see the cardiologist when you have a heart problem, the general dentist sends to the endodontist when they they do not feel comfortable with the complexity of the tooth. We have an operating microscope that allows us to find canals that otherwise may not be found. In addition to this all our treatments are limited to root canal treatment which allows us to develop efficiency and expertise with these difficult cases. If your general dentist refers you to us it is because they feel that we can provide your tooth a more predictable long term prognosis.
